Description: Carrier to interference ratio. Carrier-to-Interference ratio (C/I) is the ratio of power in an RF carrier to the interference power in the channel.

What is c3gCarrierToInterferenceRatio?

This read-only value reports the Carrier-to-Interference ratio (C/I), the ratio of the desired RF carrier's power to the interference power present in the same channel. An admin uses this to assess how much interference is degrading the usable signal independent of raw signal strength, since a strong carrier signal can still perform poorly if interference is also high. For example, a low C/I ratio despite strong RSSI would explain poor throughput at a site located near other interfering RF sources or overlapping cells.
