cvIfCfgOutAttn

Module: CISCO-VOICE-IF-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-VOICE-IF-MIB::cvIfCfgOutAttn

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.64.1.1.1.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: This object contains the amount of attenuation inserted at the transmit side of the interface. The output attenuation settings only define a loss relative to the 0 dB setting. The absolute loss at the 0 dB setting could be implementation dependent based on the desired network loss plan. The default value of this object is 0 dB (decibel).

What is cvIfCfgOutAttn?

This read-write Integer32 (0 to 14 dB) sets the amount of attenuation inserted at the transmit side of the interface, relative to the 0 dB setting, and defaults to 0 dB. Administrators adjust this to prevent audio from being transmitted too loudly relative to the network's loss plan, which can cause clipping or discomfort for the far-end listener. For example, if outbound audio on a line is reported as too loud or distorted, increasing this attenuation value would reduce the transmitted signal level.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.64.1.1.1.1.5
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-VOICE-IF-MIB::cvIfCfgOutAttn

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.64.1.1.1.1.5.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-VOICE-IF-MIB::cvIfCfgOutAttn.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.64.1.1.1.1.5.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> cvIfCfgOutAttn.1
