cvIfCfgEchoCanceller

Module: CISCO-VOICE-IF-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-VOICE-IF-MIB::cvIfCfgEchoCanceller

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.64.1.1.1.1.14

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: The object specifies which echo canceller is present on the interface. echoCancellerStandard - for this echo canceller valid values of cvIfCfgEchoCancelCoverage are echoCanceller8ms through echoCanceller32ms; cvIfCfgEchoCancelWorstERL is not valid. echoCancellerExtended - for this echo canceller valid values of cvIfCfgEchoCancelCoverage are echoCanceller24ms through echoCanceller128ms; cvIfCfgEchoCancelWorstERL is valid.

What is cvIfCfgEchoCanceller?

This read-only INTEGER indicates which type of echo canceller (standard or extended) is physically present on the interface, which in turn determines which coverage values are valid (standard supports 8ms through 32ms; extended supports 24ms through longer durations) and whether the worst-case ERL object is applicable. Administrators check this to understand hardware capability limits before attempting to configure coverage or ERL settings. For example, if an admin tries to set cvIfCfgEchoCancelCoverage to a longer duration, checking this object first confirms whether the installed echo canceller hardware (extended) actually supports that longer coverage value.
