What is vmVoiceVlanCdpVerifyEnable?
This read-write TruthValue controls whether the voice VLAN is enabled only after CDP messages are received from the IP phone (true) or as soon as the IP phone's interface comes up with no CDP verification required (false). An administrator enables CDP verification as a security check confirming the connected device is genuinely a Cisco IP phone before activating the voice VLAN. For example, setting this to true means the voice VLAN won't activate on a port until the switch receives a CDP announcement from an actual IP phone plugged into it.
