vmVlans4k

Module: CISCO-VLAN-MEMBERSHIP-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-VLAN-MEMBERSHIP-MIB::vmVlans4k

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.68.1.2.2.1.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-write

Description: The VLAN(s) the port is assigned to when the port's vmVlanType is set to multiVlan. This object is not instantiated if not applicable.

The port is always assigned to one or more VLANs and the object may not be set so that there are no vlans assigned.

Each octet within the value of this object specifies a set of eight VLANs, with the first octet specifying VLAN id 3072 through 3079, the second octet specifying VLAN ids 3040 through 3047, etc. Within each octet, the most significant bit represents the lowest numbered VLAN id, and the least significant bit represents the highest numbered VLAN id. Thus, each VLAN of the port is represented by a single bit within the value of this object. If that bit has a value of '1' then that VLAN is included in the set of VLANs; the VLAN is not included if its bit has a value of '0'.

What is vmVlans4k?

This read-write OCTET STRING is the final segment of the multiVlan bitmap, covering VLAN IDs starting at 3072, with the first octet representing VLANs 3072 through 3079. An administrator uses it together with vmVlans, vmVlans2k, and vmVlans3k to fully specify a port's membership across the entire 4096-VLAN space. For example, setting a bit here would add VLAN 3080 to a trunk-connected multiVlan port.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.68.1.2.2.1.7
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-VLAN-MEMBERSHIP-MIB::vmVlans4k

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.68.1.2.2.1.7.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-VLAN-MEMBERSHIP-MIB::vmVlans4k.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.68.1.2.2.1.7.1 s <value>
