vmVlan

Module: CISCO-VLAN-MEMBERSHIP-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-VLAN-MEMBERSHIP-MIB::vmVlan

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.68.1.2.2.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The VLAN id of the VLAN the port is assigned to when vmVlanType is set to static or dynamic. This object is not instantiated if not applicable.

The value may be 0 if the port is not assigned to a VLAN.

If vmVlanType is static, the port is always assigned to a VLAN and the object may not be set to 0.

If vmVlanType is dynamic the object's value is 0 if the port is currently not assigned to a VLAN. In addition, the object may be set to 0 only.

What is vmVlan?

This read-write INTEGER (0 to 4095) holds the VLAN ID assigned to a port when its vmVlanType is static or dynamic, with 0 meaning the port currently has no VLAN assigned. An administrator uses it to directly configure or check which single VLAN a port belongs to, and for dynamic ports a value of 0 signals the port hasn't yet received an assignment from VMPS. For example, setting this to 20 statically places a port permanently into VLAN 20 for that access switch port.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.68.1.2.2.1.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-VLAN-MEMBERSHIP-MIB::vmVlan

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.68.1.2.2.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-VLAN-MEMBERSHIP-MIB::vmVlan.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.68.1.2.2.1.2.1 i <value>
