vismChanAisDelayLeft

Module: CISCO-VISM-CONN-STAT-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-VISM-CONN-STAT-MIB::vismChanAisDelayLeft

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.5.3.3.1.1.37

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-only

Description: The real-time number of seconds remaining for the AIS delay timer after which the ATM alarm will be propagated to the TDM side. This object is tied to the vismChanAisDelayTime object in the CISCO-VISM-CONN-MIB. vismChanAisDelayTime will store the configurable AIS delay timer. The delay time left (vismChanAisDelayLeft) will be equal to the delay time in vismChanAisDelayTime until an AIS alarm is received at which point it starts to decrement and could go down to 0 and propagate the alarm to the TDM side.

What is vismChanAisDelayLeft?

This Unsigned32 shows the real-time number of seconds remaining on the AIS delay timer before an ATM alarm gets propagated to the TDM side of this channel, mirroring the configured vismChanAisDelayTime until an AIS alarm arrives. Watching this countdown lets an admin know how much grace period is left before a detected ATM problem will actually disrupt the TDM voice circuit, which is useful for judging urgency during a live alarm. For example, if this value is counting down toward zero on a channel that just received an AIS, an engineer knows they have only that many seconds to clear the ATM-side fault before the TDM side also alarms.
