Module: CISCO-VISM-CONN-STAT-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-VISM-CONN-STAT-MIB::vismChan24HrPeakXmtCellRate

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.351.110.5.5.3.3.1.1.26

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter32

Access: read-only

Description: This object counts the peak transmit cell rate (cells per second) for the channel since midnight with reference to node time; the peak cell rate counter gets reset to 0 every 24 hours at midnight. If the node time is changed, the counter will continue to gather data until the next time midnight is reached.

What is vismChan24HrPeakXmtCellRate?

This Counter32 tracks the peak transmit cell rate, in cells per second, for the channel since midnight with reference to node time, resetting to 0 every 24 hours at that midnight boundary, and continuing to gather data if node time changes until the next midnight is reached. This gives an admin the channel's single highest transmit burst observed during the current day without requiring continuous fine-grained polling. A capacity planner reviewing a channel's daily traffic pattern would check this value each day to identify the peak transmit demand that channel experienced, useful for spotting channels approaching their configured PCR ceiling.
