cvifGroupsSupported

Module: CISCO-VIRTUAL-INTERFACE-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-VIRTUAL-INTERFACE-MIB::cvifGroupsSupported

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.648.1.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-write

Description: This is a boolean that indicates whether Virtual Interface Groups are supported (and enabled). Note that many agents are unlikely to support write-access for this object. If there are entries in the cvifGroupTable when this value is being set to false, the set will fail.

What is cvifGroupsSupported?

This read-write boolean tells whether the device supports and has enabled Virtual Interface Groups, a feature for grouping virtual interfaces together. An admin cares because this gates whether the group table feature can even be used, and the MIB explicitly warns that trying to disable it while group entries still exist will cause the set to fail. For example, attempting to set this to false while Virtual Interface Groups are still configured would be rejected until those group entries are removed first.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.648.1.1.1
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-VIRTUAL-INTERFACE-MIB::cvifGroupsSupported

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.648.1.1.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-VIRTUAL-INTERFACE-MIB::cvifGroupsSupported.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.648.1.1.1.1 s <value>
