Description: Cisco UCS vnic:VmqConPolicy:intrCount managed object property

What is cucsVnicVmqConPolicyIntrCount?

This is the number of interrupts this VMQ connection policy allocates on the adapter to service the virtual machine queues it provisions. An admin sizes this alongside vmqCount because each VMQ typically needs its own interrupt to avoid CPU contention when a virtualization host is under heavy per-VM network load. For example, an admin running many high-throughput VMs on one host might raise intrCount so each VM's queue gets a dedicated interrupt instead of sharing, reducing CPU-side queuing delay.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.719.1.53.71.1.6
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-VNIC-MIB::cucsVnicVmqConPolicyIntrCount

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.719.1.53.71.1.6.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-VNIC-MIB::cucsVnicVmqConPolicyIntrCount.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> cucsVnicVmqConPolicyIntrCount.1
