Description: Cisco UCS vnic:IScsiLCP:cdnSource managed object property

What is cucsVnicIScsiLCPCdnSource?

This OID reports the source (CucsVnicCdnSource) of the Consistent Device Naming value used for the launched, deployed instance of an iSCSI vNIC as it actually runs on a server, as opposed to the vNIC's policy-level definition (IScsiLCP) — for example whether it comes from the vNIC's own name or from a separately user-defined CDN name. An admin cares because this tells them whether renaming the vNIC itself will also change the OS-visible interface name, or whether the two are decoupled. For example, an admin who renames an iSCSI vNIC but sees the OS interface name stay the same would check this cdnSource value to confirm the CDN name is set to a separate user-defined value rather than following the vNIC name.
