Module: CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-VNIC-MIB
OID (symbolic): CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-VNIC-MIB::cucsVnicIScsiLCPBootDev
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.719.1.53.52.1.7
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: CucsVnicVnicBootDev
Access: read-only
Description: Cisco UCS vnic:IScsiLCP:bootDev managed object property
What is cucsVnicIScsiLCPBootDev?
This OID reports the boot device designation (CucsVnicVnicBootDev) assigned to the launched, deployed instance of an iSCSI vNIC as it actually runs on a server, as opposed to the vNIC's policy-level definition (IScsiLCP) — how this deployed iSCSI vNIC instance is registered in the server's boot order. An admin cares because if this boot device designation is wrong or missing, the server's boot policy won't find the iSCSI vNIC as a valid boot target and the boot attempt will fail. For example, a server stuck failing to iSCSI boot after a service profile move would prompt an admin to check this bootDev value to confirm the vNIC is still correctly registered as a boot device.
