Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: SnmpAdminString
Access: read-only
Description: Cisco UCS vnic:IScsiLCP:adminVcon managed object property
What is cucsVnicIScsiLCPAdminVcon?
This OID reports the administratively assigned vCon (virtual host bus adapter connection) slot for the launched, deployed instance of an iSCSI vNIC as it actually runs on a server, as opposed to the vNIC's policy-level definition (IScsiLCP), specifying which adapter path this deployed iSCSI vNIC should use. An admin cares because vCon assignment controls load distribution across a multi-port adapter, and an unbalanced assignment can leave one adapter path overloaded while another sits idle. For example, an admin balancing vNICs across a dual-port adapter would check this adminVcon value to confirm the iSCSI vNIC isn't stacked on the same vCon as several other high-traffic vNICs.
