Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: SnmpAdminString
Access: read-only
Description: Cisco UCS vnic:IScsiAutoTargetIf:dhcpVendorId managed object property
What is cucsVnicIScsiAutoTargetIfDhcpVendorId?
This OID reports the DHCP vendor class identifier string that an auto-discovered iSCSI target interface that an iSCSI vNIC picked up via DHCP/iSCSI-boot-firmware-table discovery rather than manual entry (IScsiAutoTargetIf) sends in its DHCP request so the DHCP server can recognize it as an iSCSI-boot client and return iSCSI boot parameters. An admin cares because if this vendor ID doesn't match what the DHCP server's iSCSI boot option scope expects, the server won't receive its target IP/IQN and iSCSI boot will fail. For example, an admin troubleshooting a blade stuck at iSCSI boot would check this dhcpVendorId against the DHCP server's configured option 60 match string to rule out a mismatch.
