Module: CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-VNIC-MIB
OID (symbolic): CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-VNIC-MIB::cucsVnicFcGroupDefDn
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.719.1.53.48.1.2
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: CucsManagedObjectDn
Access: read-only
Description: Cisco UCS vnic:FcGroupDef:dn managed object property
What is cucsVnicFcGroupDefDn?
This OID returns the Distinguished Name (DN) of a Fibre Channel vNIC group policy instance in Cisco UCS Manager — the full path through the management tree that uniquely addresses this exact Fibre Channel vNIC group policy object rather than any other. Because a UCS domain can hold many Fibre Channel vNIC group policy objects at once (one per server, profile, or fabric side), an admin needs this DN to know exactly which physical or logical context a given row of Fibre Channel vNIC group policy data came from. For example, when a monitoring tool walks this table across a chassis full of blades, it uses each returned DN to sort the Fibre Channel vNIC group policy rows back to the specific service profile or blade each one belongs to.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.719.1.53.48.1.2 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-VNIC-MIB::cucsVnicFcGroupDefDn
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.719.1.53.48.1.2.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-VNIC-MIB::cucsVnicFcGroupDefDn.1
SNMPv3 example:
snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> cucsVnicFcGroupDefDn.1
