cucsVnicEtherIfOwner

Module: CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-VNIC-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-VNIC-MIB::cucsVnicEtherIfOwner

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.719.1.53.10.1.8

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: CucsVnicConnectionOwner

Access: read-only

Description: Cisco UCS vnic:EtherIf:owner managed object property

What is cucsVnicEtherIfOwner?

This read-only CucsVnicConnectionOwner value indicates who or what created and controls this vNIC Ethernet Interface entry instance — for example whether it was configured directly, derived from a policy, or instantiated on behalf of a service profile. Knowing the owner tells an admin whether they can safely edit the object directly in UCS Manager or whether it will be regenerated/overwritten by whatever policy or profile actually owns it. For an Ethernet Interface entry attaching VLAN 130 to vNIC template 'vNIC-Templ-A' as its default (native) network, this OID would report an owner value showing whether that instance was created by an explicit admin configuration or auto-derived from a template.
