OID (symbolic): CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-VNIC-MIB::cucsVnicEtherConfigState

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.719.1.53.9.1.8

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: CucsLsConfigState

Access: read-only

Description: Cisco UCS vnic:Ether:configState managed object property

What is cucsVnicEtherConfigState?

This read-only CucsLsConfigState value reports the finite-state-machine (FSM) configuration/lifecycle state UCS Manager is currently tracking for this vNIC (virtual Ethernet NIC) instance. Because UCS Manager applies configuration changes asynchronously, this state tells an admin whether a recent change to this vNIC (virtual Ethernet NIC) instance has fully applied, is still in progress, or has failed, rather than assuming a change took effect the instant it was submitted. For the vNIC named 'eth0' on service profile 'SP-WEB03', pinned to fabric interconnect A with a 9000-byte MTU, an admin who just pushed a configuration change would poll this OID to confirm it moved from an in-progress state to a stable applied state before considering the change complete.
