Description: Cisco UCS vnic:DynamicIdUniverse:rn managed object property

What is cucsVnicDynamicIdUniverseRn?

This read-only SnmpAdminString value is the Relative Name (RN) of a Dynamic ID Universe object, the naming component that distinguishes one Dynamic ID Universe instance from its sibling instances under the same parent object. The RN is the piece an admin actually assigns or that UCS Manager derives when creating the object; combined with its parent's DN it produces the object's full DN, so two Dynamic ID Universe instances under different parents can share the same RN without colliding. Looking at the Dynamic ID Universe object UCS Manager maintains while handing out dynamic vNIC IDs across a cluster of VIC adapters, the RN would be the short naming segment (for example an object ID or index) that appears as the last component of that instance's DN.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.719.1.53.5.1.3
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-VNIC-MIB::cucsVnicDynamicIdUniverseRn

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.719.1.53.5.1.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-VNIC-MIB::cucsVnicDynamicIdUniverseRn.1
