cucsVnicDynamicConPolicyDn

Module: CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-VNIC-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-VNIC-MIB::cucsVnicDynamicConPolicyDn

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.719.1.53.4.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: CucsManagedObjectDn

Access: read-only

Description: Cisco UCS vnic:DynamicConPolicy:dn managed object property

What is cucsVnicDynamicConPolicyDn?

This read-only CucsManagedObjectDn value is the Distinguished Name (DN) of a Dynamic vNIC Connection Policy object — the full hierarchical path UCS Manager uses to uniquely address one specific Dynamic vNIC Connection Policy instance in its management-information tree. Since a UCS domain can contain many Dynamic vNIC Connection Policy instances (one row per named Dynamic vNIC Connection Policy), the DN is what lets monitoring tools or scripts pin an SNMP row to the exact instance it describes rather than just the object type. For example, an admin troubleshooting a policy named 'VMFEX-24dvNIC' that grants any service profile referencing it 24 dynamic vNICs at 9000-byte MTU would read this OID to get a DN like 'org-root/...dn', letting them jump straight to that instance in UCS Manager instead of searching through the whole tree.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.719.1.53.4.1.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-VNIC-MIB::cucsVnicDynamicConPolicyDn

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.719.1.53.4.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-VNIC-MIB::cucsVnicDynamicConPolicyDn.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> cucsVnicDynamicConPolicyDn.1
