Module: CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-VNIC-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-VNIC-MIB::cucsVnicDefBehDn

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.719.1.53.2.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: CucsManagedObjectDn

Access: read-only

Description: Cisco UCS vnic:DefBeh:dn managed object property

What is cucsVnicDefBehDn?

This read-only CucsManagedObjectDn value is the Distinguished Name (DN) of a Default vNIC/vHBA Behavior policy object — the full hierarchical path UCS Manager uses to uniquely address one specific Default vNIC/vHBA Behavior policy instance in its management-information tree. Since a UCS domain can contain many Default vNIC/vHBA Behavior policy instances (one row per organization's default-behavior policy for vNICs/vHBAs), the DN is what lets monitoring tools or scripts pin an SNMP row to the exact instance it describes rather than just the object type. For example, an admin troubleshooting a Default vNIC Behavior policy set to auto-create vNICs from network template 'vNIC-Templ-A' for every profile in an organization that omits explicit vNICs would read this OID to get a DN like 'org-root/...dn', letting them jump straight to that instance in UCS Manager instead of searching through the whole tree.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.719.1.53.2.1.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-VNIC-MIB::cucsVnicDefBehDn

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.719.1.53.2.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-VNIC-MIB::cucsVnicDefBehDn.1
