Description: Cisco UCS vnic:DefBeh:action managed object property

What is cucsVnicDefBehAction?

This read-only CucsVnicDefaultAction value reports the default action (for example, deriving vNICs from a template) this Default vNIC/vHBA Behavior policy applies when a service profile omits explicit vNIC/vHBA definitions. This action is what actually determines whether a service profile that never defines its own vNICs ends up with none at all or gets them auto-created from a template, which is critical to know when a newly assigned server unexpectedly has (or lacks) network connectivity. For a Default vNIC Behavior policy set to auto-create vNICs from network template 'vNIC-Templ-A' for every profile in an organization that omits explicit vNICs, this OID reporting an action of deriving from a template explains why a service profile with no explicit vNIC definitions still boots up with a working network interface.
