This is the operational state of the Vsan instance, reporting whether this VLAN/VSAN is currently active and passing traffic on the fabric interconnect. An admin monitoring the network fabric watches this field to catch a Vsan that has silently gone inactive even though its configuration still looks correct. For example, if this field flips away from an active/applied state after a configuration change, that is the admin's first sign that the change did not take effect on the switch.
