What is cucsSwUlanIfRole?
This reports the ifRole of this Ulan (underlay VLAN) endpoint, describing whether this Ethernet fabric-side VLAN presence acts as a network-facing or server-facing interface in the UCS fabric. An admin tracing how a VLAN reaches a server or the uplink network uses this role field to understand which side of the underlay fabric this particular VLAN endpoint represents. For example, distinguishing a network-facing ifRole from a server-facing one on a Ulan entry helps an admin isolate whether a VLAN connectivity problem lies on the uplink side or the server side of this underlay VLAN.
