Access: read-only

Description: Cisco UCS sw:PhysFcEp:dn managed object property

What is cucsSwPhysFcEpDn?

This is the Distinguished Name (DN) of the physical Fibre Channel endpoint representing one FC-facing port on the fabric interconnect, together with the neighbor device it discovers on the wire: the full slash-delimited path in the UCS Manager management tree that uniquely addresses this one PhysFcEp instance. Because a UCS domain can hold many PhysFcEp instances at the same time (one per port, monitor, or stats sample being tracked), a monitoring tool needs this DN to know exactly which PhysFcEp instance a given alarm, counter, or FSM event belongs to. For instance, when an SNMP poller walks this OID it gets back a path rooted under a fabric-interconnect switch, and it uses that path to match this PhysFcEp row to the rest of that same object's properties in its own inventory.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.719.1.46.40.1.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-SW-MIB::cucsSwPhysFcEpDn

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.719.1.46.40.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-SW-MIB::cucsSwPhysFcEpDn.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> cucsSwPhysFcEpDn.1
