This SnmpAdminString field holds the Distinguished Name of the underlying physical or logical port that backs an FC SAN endpoint — one FC interface participating in the fabric interconnect's uplink connection to the external SAN. An admin uses epDn to trace this abstract endpoint object back to the actual physical interface (a specific uplink port, for example) it represents in UCSM's hardware inventory. For example, when this endpoint reports a fault, epDn is what tells the admin exactly which physical port on which fabric interconnect to go check.
