This OID is a true/false flag on a HddMotherBoardTempStatsHist record indicating whether this particular archived sample is the newest one in the history buffer for that sensor. An admin or monitoring script relies on this flag to quickly pick out the latest historical snapshot without having to sort every record in the history table by timestamp. A dashboard polling temperature history for a disk bay would filter on this flag being true to display only the newest archived reading alongside the live stats object.
