What is cucsPolicyChildClassDn?

This is the Distinguished Name (DN) of a reference to a child managed-object class that a policy definition applies to, the full slash-delimited path UCS Manager assigns so that one specific instance can be addressed uniquely within its management tree. An admin relies on this DN to tell apart one ChildClass instance from every sibling instance sharing the same class, because it tells UCS Manager which subordinate class a given policy's settings should propagate down to. For a policy definition that needs to know which child object type it governs, this DN is what an SNMP-based inventory tool would follow to walk straight to that one ChildClass instance's other properties instead of guessing which same-named object in the tree it came from.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.719.1.69.69.1.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-POLICY-MIB::cucsPolicyChildClassDn

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.719.1.69.69.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-POLICY-MIB::cucsPolicyChildClassDn.1
