What is cucsOsPrimarySlaveDn?

This is the Distinguished Name (DN) of the primary/subordinate election record UCS Manager keeps for a clustered pair of Fabric Interconnects, the full slash-delimited path UCS Manager assigns so that one specific instance can be addressed uniquely within its management tree. An admin relies on this DN to tell apart one PrimarySlave instance from every sibling instance sharing the same class, because whichever side is currently 'primary' owns the active management plane, and knowing that matters before you touch configuration or reboot a switch. For a 6300-series Fabric Interconnect HA pair, this DN is what an SNMP-based inventory tool would follow to walk straight to that one PrimarySlave instance's other properties instead of guessing which same-named object in the tree it came from.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.719.1.35.19.1.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-OS-MIB::cucsOsPrimarySlaveDn

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.719.1.35.19.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-OS-MIB::cucsOsPrimarySlaveDn.1
