This is the Distinguished Name (Dn) of an Instance object -- the full hierarchical path UCS Manager assigns to uniquely address the operating-system instance running on a UCS server, as reported by the host agent inside the management information tree. Because a UCS domain can contain many Instance instances at once, the Dn is what lets an admin or an alarm/event message point to exactly one of them rather than the class in general. For example, seeing a specific cucsOsInstanceDn value in a fault or a polled table lets an admin jump straight to the underlying Instance instance that raised the issue, instead of having to search the whole tree for it.
