Description: Cisco UCS os:ARPLinkMonitoringPolicy:dn managed object property

What is cucsOsARPLinkMonitoringPolicyDn?

This is the Distinguished Name (Dn) of an ARPLinkMonitoringPolicy object -- the full hierarchical path UCS Manager assigns to uniquely address a link-monitoring policy that uses ARP probes to check NIC-bond link health on a UCS host inside the management information tree. Because a UCS domain can contain many ARPLinkMonitoringPolicy instances at once, the Dn is what lets an admin or an alarm/event message point to exactly one of them rather than the class in general. For example, seeing a specific cucsOsARPLinkMonitoringPolicyDn value in a fault or a polled table lets an admin jump straight to the underlying ARPLinkMonitoringPolicy instance that raised the issue, instead of having to search the whole tree for it.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.719.1.35.3.1.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-OS-MIB::cucsOsARPLinkMonitoringPolicyDn

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.719.1.35.3.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-OS-MIB::cucsOsARPLinkMonitoringPolicyDn.1
