Module: CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-NETWORK-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-NETWORK-MIB::cucsNetworkLanNeighborEntryDn

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.719.1.32.4.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: CucsManagedObjectDn

Access: read-only

Description: Cisco UCS network:LanNeighborEntry:dn managed object property

What is cucsNetworkLanNeighborEntryDn?

This OID carries the Distinguished Name (DN) of a LanNeighborEntry object, one CDP-discovered Ethernet neighbor device that a Fabric Interconnect has detected on one of its LAN uplink ports, i.e. the full slash-delimited path UCS Manager assigns to that exact instance in its management-information tree. An admin or a monitoring script reads this DN to know precisely which LanNeighborEntry instance a given SNMP row belongs to, since a UCS domain can hold many LanNeighborEntry instances side by side. For example, an alerting tool that just polled a numeric status column for LanNeighborEntry can walk over to this same table row's cucsNetworkLanNeighborEntryDn value to print the exact object path in the alert instead of a bare index number.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.719.1.32.4.1.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-NETWORK-MIB::cucsNetworkLanNeighborEntryDn

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.719.1.32.4.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-NETWORK-MIB::cucsNetworkLanNeighborEntryDn.1
