Access: read-only

Description: Cisco UCS mgmt:Controller:storageOobInterfaceSupported managed object property

What is cucsMgmtControllerStorageOobInterfaceSupported?

This TruthValue flag reports whether the server whose the inventory/identity record for an embedded management controller (a server's CIMC, a chassis's CMC, or an IOM controller) this is supports out-of-band storage management — inspecting and configuring local RAID/storage controllers over the CIMC's management channel rather than only through the host OS. An admin relying on UCS Manager's built-in local-storage monitoring and configuration screens for a given blade or rack server needs this to be true; on hardware where it is false, storage has to be managed in-band from within the running OS instead. Newer blade/rack server generations with integrated storage controllers typically report true here, enabling RAID health and disk-inventory data to surface directly in UCS Manager without logging into the host.
