This field reports the current operational connectivity state UCS Manager observes for the inventory/identity record for an embedded management controller (a server's CIMC, a chassis's CMC, or an IOM controller). An admin watches this field to catch a controller that has dropped off the management network — for example after a firmware update hangs a CIMC — separately from the hardware inventory fields (model/serial/vendor) which stay populated from the last successful discovery even while connectivity is down. A controller UCS Manager can currently reach and query reports a connected-type value here, while one that has stopped responding reports a disconnected/unreachable value.
