Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Gauge32

Access: read-only

Description: Cisco UCS mgmt:Controller:fsmTry managed object property

What is cucsMgmtControllerFsmTry?

This Gauge32 counter records how many attempts UCS Manager has made at the current step of the inventory/identity record for an embedded management controller (a server's CIMC, a chassis's CMC, or an IOM controller). Because transient network hiccups to a remote backup/export server are common, the underlying workflow for a Controller automatically retries a failed step a bounded number of times before giving up, and this counter is what shows an admin whether a job succeeded cleanly on the first try or only after several retries. A value of 1 means it succeeded (or is still working) on the first attempt; a value of 3 would mean UCS Manager has already retried this step twice more after initial failures.
