This reports the overall lifecycle status of the ControllerFsm workflow as a whole (values such as not-yet-started, in-progress, throttled, or completed), derived from whichever stage is currently active. For the management controller (the CIMC on a blade or rack server, or the CMC on a chassis I/O module) that owns this FSM record, this is the single field an automated poller can check to decide whether it is safe to issue another change against the same object, or whether a controller-level lifecycle job such as a firmware activation, a hard reset, or a decommission/recommission cycle is still in flight. A healthy completed job reports a status equivalent to 'completed', while a stuck one might sit at 'inProgress' far longer than expected.
