This value is the distinguished name of the physical adapter, or mezzanine card, currently backing this specific vCon. EquipmentDn tells an admin exactly which physical adapter card on the blade the vNICs or vHBAs assigned to this vCon are actually running through, which is needed before replacing that card. For example, an EquipmentDn pointing at sys/chassis-3/blade-2/adaptor-1 identifies the physical adapter behind this vCon.
