Access: read-only

Description: Cisco UCS fabric:LanCloud:vlanCompression managed object property

What is cucsFabricLanCloudVlanCompression?

This enumerated value reports whether VLAN port-count optimization ('VLAN compression') is enabled for the LAN Cloud. An admin enables this on the LAN Cloud when the domain is approaching the fabric interconnect's hardware limit on VLAN-port entries, since compression lets multiple VLANs share optimized hardware table entries instead of each consuming one per port — directly affecting how many VLANs the domain can scale to. A value of 'enabled' on the LAN Cloud would indicate the domain is relying on this optimization to fit more VLANs within hardware table limits.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-FABRIC-MIB::cucsFabricLanCloudVlanCompression

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.719.1.19.42.1.16.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-FABRIC-MIB::cucsFabricLanCloudVlanCompression.1

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> cucsFabricLanCloudVlanCompression.1
