Description: Cisco UCS fabric:FcoeSanPcEp:udldOperState managed object property
What is cucsFabricFcoeSanPcEpUdldOperState?
This enumerated value (CucsFabricUdldOperState) reports whether UDLD (Unidirectional Link Detection) is currently active and its result on this member port of the FCoE SAN port-channel. UDLD exists to catch a link that appears up electrically but is actually only passing traffic in one direction; an admin watches this field on this member port of the FCoE SAN port-channel because a UDLD-detected fault here is exactly the kind of problem that plain link-state monitoring would miss and that causes intermittent, hard-to-diagnose connectivity issues. A value of 'bidirectional' means the link checks out fine; 'unidirectional' or 'indeterminate' on this member port of the FCoE SAN port-channel would flag the specific unidirectional-link condition UDLD is designed to catch.
