Module: CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-FABRIC-MIB
OID (symbolic): CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-FABRIC-MIB::cucsFabricFcSanId
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.719.1.19.35.1.4
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: CucsNetworkSwitchId
Access: read-only
Description: Cisco UCS fabric:FcSan:id managed object property
What is cucsFabricFcSanId?
This CucsNetworkSwitchId value records which of the two redundant fabric interconnects — Fabric A or Fabric B — hosts this FC SAN cloud. Since the fabric interconnect's switched Fibre Channel/FCoE uplink domain, i.e. the SAN traffic reaches once it leaves the fabric interconnect toward an upstream FC/FCoE switch, knowing the switch ID tells an admin immediately whether a fault or misconfiguration here affects the A-side or B-side of the redundant fabric, which matters when deciding whether traffic can still fail over to the other side. For this particular instance the value is 'A', meaning it belongs to fabric interconnect A rather than its B peer.
