This is the sub-port, or breakout lane, identifier on the peer device's side of this LAN uplink connection. This matters specifically when the far-end switch also uses breakout cabling, telling the admin exactly which lane of the neighbor's port this cable is plugged into, not just which physical port. A value of 2 here would mean this cable lands on the second breakout lane of the neighboring switch's port.
