When two ends of this NAS storage port disagree on whether to auto-negotiate speed/duplex, that mismatch is a classic cause of a link that comes up but runs at the wrong speed or flaps intermittently, so this flag is one of the first things an admin checks. A value of 'true' means the port negotiates speed/duplex automatically with its peer; 'false' would mean the speed is fixed by adminSpeed instead.
