Because the decomposed FSM model splits a single workflow into separate Fsm/FsmStage/FsmTask rows, this Dn is what lets you tell which specific top-level workflow row you're looking at and which endpoint's workflow it belongs to, rather than having to infer it from context. It would extend the parent endpoint's own Dn with a fixed '.../fsm' suffix, since only one such top-level FSM record exists per endpoint at a time.
