What is cucsFabricCartridgePhEpPeerDn?
This holds the Dn of the peer endpoint object connected to this compute cartridge's physical port endpoint, letting UCS Manager resolve exactly which object sits on the far end of the link. An admin troubleshooting a link-down cartridge port follows this Dn straight to the IOM port object on the other end, skipping the need to manually trace which fabric extender port that cartridge is wired to. A value like 'sys/chassis-3/slot-2/fabext/port-1' identifies the specific IOM port this cartridge port is linked to.
