Because that keyring pulls its certificate from a remote server, this field determines whether UCS Manager will use, say, SCP or TFTP for that transfer, which in turn determines what kind of connectivity or credential failure to expect if the import stalls. A value of 'scp' would mean the import job needs valid SSH credentials to the remote host, whereas 'tftp' would need none but only works on networks where TFTP is permitted.
