What is cucsExtvmmEpGenNum?
This is a Gauge32 generation number that increments every time the configuration of a VM-manager endpoint (e.g. a VMware vCenter) that this UCS domain has registered for VM-FEX integration changes. It's how UCS and the external VMM detect that the vCenter endpoint is stale — if the VMM-side copy still reflects an older generation number, a resync is needed before they're considered in sync. Seeing this jump from 4 to 5 after an admin edits the underlying VLAN membership confirms the change was registered and a push to the VMM should follow.
