This value indicates which fabric side — Fabric Interconnect A or B — this internal port-channel bundle is associated with. It matters on the internal port-channel formed by bundling several server-side backplane links between an I/O Module and a Fabric Interconnect because the bundle, like its individual member links, belongs entirely to one side of UCS's dual-fabric redundancy design. A locale of fabric-A on this port-channel means a failure of fabric interconnect A takes this entire bundle down, while the redundant bundle on the other fabric continues carrying traffic.
