This Gauge32 most likely reflects a namespace-size allocation UCS Manager has reserved on this internal backplane link — for example the number of virtual interface (VIF) identifiers set aside for multiplexing multiple blade vNICs across the shared link. It matters on the internal Ethernet link that carries a blade's traffic from the chassis I/O Module up to a Fabric Interconnect over the backplane because the number of vNICs a blade's adapter can actually present depends on this kind of per-link namespace capacity being large enough.
