This is epDn, the Dn of the endpoint managed object logically associated with this specific physical port, such as the adapter-side interface it is serving. It is the link between the physical port row and the logical adapter or service-profile object using it, so when a server team asks which physical port their vNIC actually rides on, this field is the answer. For example, an epDn pointing at a specific adaptor-eth path lets you trace a service profile's vNIC all the way down to physical port 5 on FI-A.
