Description: Cisco UCS ether:LossStats:lateCollisionDeltaAvg managed object property

What is cucsEtherLossStatsLateCollisionDeltaAvg?

This field is the average, as continuously recalculated on the live object, of the per-interval delta values for late collisions detected on this interface — collisions that occurred after the first 64 bytes of a frame had already gone out, taken across the retained collection history for this stats object. Admins watch this to separate a genuinely sustained problem from one noisy interval — if DeltaAvg for lateCollision on this interface is climbing, a late-collision count that climbs on this specific link is the textbook symptom of a duplex mismatch or a cable run that exceeds the Ethernet distance limit, rather than a one-off spike. For example, an average of 0 late collisions per interval sustained over many polling cycles points at a chronic issue rather than a one-time glitch.
