Description: Cisco UCS ether:LossStatsHist:multiCollision managed object property
What is cucsEtherLossStatsHistMultiCollision?
This field reports the cumulative count of frames that were eventually transmitted successfully but only after more than one collision on the wire, tracked by this particular stats object since it was created or last reset. For a network admin, this is a milder cousin of excessCollision on the same interface, and a rising trend here can be an early warning of the same duplex or loading problem before it gets bad enough to actually drop frames. For example, a cumulative value of 9 frames since the interface came up would still be within a tolerable range, whereas a rapidly climbing count in the hundreds would justify escalation.
